every light is on (but still it gets dark) is a collection of mixed media pieces by James R. Eads that captures The Light as a distinct entity. Throughout the series, The Light is portrayed as a corporeal character navigating the porous boundaries between material and ethereal realms.Beyond mere fleeting experiences of beauty or comfort, Eads renders the light into a source of life-affirming dependability, constancy even through inevitable change. The Light becomes an old friend, a teacher, a home. Eads uses The Light to offer a glimmer of hope, a renewed sense of wonderment, and, too, a sobering reminder that, sometimes, Darkness pervades The Light.
Any paintings purchased from this collection will not ship until the first week of December. Paintings will be on view in our Los Angeles gallery through the end of November. To view the exhibit book your visit here.
