Did you know: the Green Glyphs Runic dice can be used on their own without the Green Glyphs Rune cards!
The three d8 dice include all 24 of the Elder Futhark Runes, the 4th d10 die includes the 9 Anglo-Saxon runes plus a blank side.
If you are choosing to just use the Elder Futhark then take the three eight-sided dice in your cupped hands. If you want to include the Anglo-Saxon runes grab the fourth ten-sided die as well. With the dice in your cupped hands, offer a good shake and roll them on a flat surface. The dice are most helpful when doing a three or four Rune reading, but the dice can be rolled again for a larger reading. When the dice land on the table you would consider the die furthest to the left as “past”, the center most die “present” and the furthest right die “future” etc. Additionally, if you want to use the dice for a single Rune reading you can toss all three dice and only count the one that falls closest to you.
For clearer readings you can also use the dice with the Green Glyphs Casting Cloth. The casting cloth serves as a map giving context to the dice you've cast. The cloth shows the distinct positions of the “past, present and future” and how these points in time intersect with our influences and thoughts. These positions are the same as what you would see in the first part of a Celtic Cross reading.

The dice can also be used as a device for learning the runes without the imagery attached. Begin casting the dice and scribe each Rune with what you think the runic name is. If you do this enough times you will begin to link the Rune to the name and the meaning without using the imagery on the cards.
